The ideal frequency depends on your resources and the level of competition in your industry. For most companies, 1 to 2 articles per week is a good pace, as long as every article is high quality. One excellent article per week is worth more than five mediocre ones.
Consistency matters more than volume. Google and AIs reward sites that publish regularly over time. A blog that publishes 4 articles in one week and then goes 3 months without updating is less effective than one that publishes 1 article per week for 12 months.
For companies with a limited budget, an efficient strategy is to focus on evergreen content (which does not lose relevance over time) and publish less frequently but with very high quality. A well-crafted pillar article can drive traffic for years. The key is to prioritize impact per article, not total volume.
