Each model has its own criteria, but the same patterns repeat across all of them. The most relevant factors are:
- Domain authority: sites with backlinks from relevant sources are preferred. The domain's trust history carries a lot of weight.
- Information consistency: if the brand's name, data and positioning appear identically across multiple sources, the AI trusts it more.
- Content depth: shallow, generic content gets ignored. Articles with specific data, real examples and clear structure are prioritized.
- Schema markup: structured data helps the AI interpret the content correctly.
- Multichannel presence: brands that appear on a blog, LinkedIn, YouTube, forums and news portals earn more cross-channel trust.
It is important to know that AIs also run real-time searches (via search grounding). This means fresh, indexed content gains an advantage over stagnant content.
