01The challenge
The challenge
Digital authority in financial services is the most demanding setting link building has. Google holds money and investment content to its own bar: who publishes, with what credentials, with what track record and with what accountability for the claims made.
Add the regulatory environment and the compliance function of an investment bank. A poorly chosen mention, on an outlet with no editorial standard, is more than a wasted link: it is a reputational risk at an institution where reputation is part of the product.
And the bank's team is technical. There is in-house SEO, there is a critical read of everything that lands, and there are second-order questions about method: why this outlet, why this angle, why this anchor, what happens if the criteria change.
02What we did
What we did
The work is led by the Netlinks authority practice, with Gabriel Raposo at the front, and runs as an extension of the bank's in-house team, with joint review at every step.
- Criteria before volume. Every outlet is assessed on editorial quality, subject fit, audience and track record. A link on a publication with no standard is worth less than none, because it creates a liability someone has to undo later.
- Angles the outlet's readers actually want. A mention starts from a subject the outlet would publish anyway, with data and a point of view that justify the story. That is how a mention survives editing and stays live.
- A documented, auditable method. Every decision is recorded: why the outlet qualified, which page receives the link, what the anchor is and what role it plays in the authority architecture of the domain. The bank's team reads exactly what we read.
- Four-eyes review. Angle and copy approved with the in-house team before anything is published, respecting what a financial institution's compliance function requires.
- Continuous read of the answer layer. Tracking how the brand shows up in search and in AI assistant citations, which is where authority built off-domain turns into presence.
03The outcome
The outcome
The partnership is active and is publicly assessed by the bank's own SEO Director, who describes the work as consistent and reliable in digital authority strategy, with method, quality and alignment with best practice.
For Netlinks, the account became an internal standard. The outlet selection criteria, the approval flow and the documentation of every decision came out of the rigor a financial institution demands, and now apply to every authority client, from banking to manufacturing.
This case carries no public traffic or ranking figure. What the bank authorizes for publication is its assessment of the partnership, and that is what appears here, in full.
Netlinks is a consistent and reliable technical partner in digital authority strategy. Method, quality, alignment with best practice. Deep technical knowledge and a results-driven posture.
