Netlinks · Authority by Atômico Press

Buy backlinks with the outlet on the table before anything is published.

You see the domain, the authority, the traffic and the angle before approving. The placement is a permanent editorial piece with a contextual link to the page you chose, and the report with every link URL stays open in the App.

01Overview

Buy backlinks

Companies looking to buy backlinks have usually already understood the hard part: authority is what breaks the tie between two good pages. What tends to be missing is the criteria for separating a link that holds a ranking from a link that becomes a liability on the domain profile.

This page tries to answer that directly, including the uncomfortable parts. We will cover what the market sells as a backlink, what search engines do when they find an artificial pattern, the outlet tiers that genuinely exist, and how Atômico Press curates before approving any placement.

Netlinks has run this practice since 2017 for more than 200 companies, from regional retailers to investment banks, in English, Portuguese and Spanish. It is led by Gabriel Raposo, Chief Authority Officer, previously at Ambev and Agibank. The conceptual background is in what is link building and the full operation in link building agency.

02Straight talk

What buying backlinks really means

There is a practical difference between paying for a link and paying for editorial work that produces a link. It is easy to describe and it is the origin of nearly every problem that reaches us from a previous vendor.

Paying for a link means buying space on a site that sells space. That site normally exists for that purpose: it publishes dozens of unrelated pieces a day, has no returning readers, has no named authors, and lives on money from people who want links. Search engines know those domains, and the pattern is visible to any analyst with half an hour and a tool.

Paying for editorial work means hiring someone to research the angle, write a piece that interests that outlet's readers, negotiate with the newsroom and secure publication. The link sits inside the text, in the right context, because the article is about the subject. It is slower, it costs more per unit, and it is the only format still worth something two years later.

Netlinks works in the second format. That does not make sponsored editorial media forbidden: much of the press publishes sponsored content and does so transparently. It means the outlet must have its own existence, its own readers and its own editorial line, and the piece must be good enough to justify being read.

What we refuse, in writing: private blog networks, reactivated expired domains, sites publishing bulk generated content with no editing, marketplaces with vendor-declared metrics, links in footers, sidebars or partner lists, and any format that disappears when the retainer stops.

03Risk

What happens when the link is bad

The risk of a bad link rarely arrives as an immediate penalty. It arrives as a project that will not move, and it takes months to diagnose correctly.

The link is ignored

The most common outcome. The engine simply does not count it. You paid, the number showed up in a tool, and nothing changed in the rankings.

The profile goes lopsided

A hundred links with the same exact anchor, all published in the same month, on the same kind of site. The pattern is artificial and lowers trust in the whole domain.

Manual action

Less frequent, far more expensive. When it happens, a notice arrives in Google Search Console, rankings drop, and the way back runs through disavow and a reconsideration request.

The link disappears

Rented space lasts as long as the retainer. Six months later half of what you bought is offline and the authority is back where it started.

The neighborhood contaminates

The same site selling to you sells to gambling, unlicensed pharmacies and your direct competitor. Your domain now lives in that neighborhood.

AI never cites you

Language models pick sources by reputation. A link on a site with no readers puts your brand in no answer at all, and that is the cost almost nobody calculates.

04Tiers

The outlet tiers that genuinely exist

When someone asks for a backlink price list, what they really want is to understand what changes from one outlet to the next. These are the tiers Atômico Press works with. The investment for each one comes with the proposal, alongside the quarterly acquisition target.

TierType of outletWhat it usually deliversTypical lead time
BaseNiche blogs and regional portals with a small newsroom, authority from 40 upVolume and referring domain diversity, long tail support2 to 4 weeks from angle to live
TradeSpecialist publication in your market, read by professionalsHigh topical relevance and readership among the people who sign purchase orders3 to 6 weeks, with editorial approval
PressRecognized news portal with a journalism teamAuthority weight, social proof and a source the AI models consult4 to 10 weeks, depends on the hook
InternationalOutlet from the destination country, in English or Spanish, native writerAuthority in the market where you sell, which local links cannot substitute4 to 10 weeks
DossierProprietary research distributed across a selected set of outletsSeveral links at once plus a reference asset that keeps getting cited6 to 12 weeks, including research

05Curation

How Atômico Press approves an outlet

Every candidate domain runs through the same screen, and the screen does not loosen for a deadline. Numbers are cross-checked in more than one tool on purpose, because domain authority is a third-party estimate and can be inflated.

After the numbers comes the part no tool does alone: someone on the team opens the site, reads three recent articles, looks for author names, checks whether publication dates exist, scans what else that outlet published this month and checks who else it links to. A domain that points at everything is a vote for nobody.

Only then does the outlet reach the list we send you, with authority, estimated traffic, topic and a rationale for why it fits your brand. You veto anything you want before a newsroom is contacted.

  • Domain authority from 40 up, cross-checked in Ahrefs, Semrush and Majestic
  • Organic traffic consistent with the displayed authority, with no inflation
  • An identifiable newsroom: named authors, dates and original reporting
  • No closed link loop among sites owned by the same person
  • No content from categories that would contaminate your domain's neighborhood
  • A track record of being cited by AI models, where one exists

06Cadence

From request to published URL

The flow below applies both to a full quarter of acquisition and to a one-off reinforcement on a specific page.

  1. Week 1

    Profile diagnosis

Everything already pointing at your domain, with anchor, destination and status, compared against three competitors. The gap comes out as a number.

  2. Week 2

    Target pages and tiers

Which URLs receive links and in which tier. Pages between position 5 and 20 come first, because that is where a push turns into page one.

  3. Week 3

    Outlet list

Curation delivers candidate domains with authority, traffic and rationale. You approve or veto before the first contact.

  4. Week 4

    Angle and copy

A native-language writer writes for that outlet's reader. You approve the piece and the anchor text before it reaches the newsroom.

  5. Publication

    Live and logged

The story goes live and the URL enters the App the same day, with outlet, date, anchor, destination page and domain authority.

  6. After

    Monitoring and replacement

Continuous checks on permanence and attribute. A link removed within the contracted period is replaced at no additional cost.

07Guarantee

What we guarantee, and what nobody can

This is where the market tends to promise things it does not control, so the two lists are worth separating.

What Netlinks guarantees by contract:

  • The outlet is disclosed first. Nothing is published on a domain you have not approved.
  • The placement is editorial and permanent. No rotating banners, footers, sidebars or space with an expiry date.
  • The link is contextual, inside a piece about the subject, with anchor text agreed with you.
  • The report shows the URL. Outlet, date, anchor, destination and authority, in the App, with no month-end wait.
  • Replacement for dropped links. If an outlet removes the content during a migration or an editorial change inside the contracted period, monitoring catches it and we replace it.

What nobody can guarantee, and be wary of anyone who does: a specific Google position within a specific timeframe. Search engines do not sell organic rankings, and the response to a link depends on competition, on the receiving page, on site speed and on domain history. What the diagnosis provides is a grounded estimate, with search volume, keyword difficulty and the authority gap still to close.

Netlinks also does not guarantee a specific outlet before negotiating. Newsrooms have calendars and editorial standards, and promising a portal's homepage before speaking to the editor is the kind of promise that breaks in month two.

08Accountability

The report that closes the loop

Every delivered link shows up in the Netlinks App with the data that allows independent verification: the article URL, the outlet name, the publication date, the anchor text used, the page on your site that received the link, and the source domain's authority at the time of publication.

Next to that sit the reads that matter more than the count: how many new referring domains arrived this month, how much the gap to the competitor you want to overtake has narrowed, what happened to the rankings of the pages that received links, and which AI models started citing the brand.

It is the same screen that shows the delivery queue, site speed and rankings. You do not receive a monthly PDF: you open the dashboard whenever you like, 24 hours a day, and Alfred answers on WhatsApp with the human team in the same thread. The full design is in technology.

12Who it is for

Where this work pays off the most

Companies burned before

A profile full of irrelevant links inherited from a previous vendor. The first job is cleaning and rebuilding, with auditable criteria.

A page sitting on the edge

An important term between position 5 and 20, with content already solid. That is where link acquisition returns most per dollar spent.

Brands going abroad

Selling into the United States, the United Kingdom, Chile or Spain requires outlets from that market, written by native speakers.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is buying backlinks safe?

It depends entirely on where the link is published and how. An editorial link inside a relevant article, on an outlet with a newsroom and readers, is standard practice and holds rankings. Bulk packages from sites that exist to sell space are usually ignored by search engines and, at worst, trigger a manual action. Our curation only works in the first format.

How much does it cost to buy backlinks?

Investment varies by outlet tier, language and quarterly volume, and arrives in the proposal next to the acquisition target so you can weigh it against estimated opportunity. The link profile diagnosis is done with no commitment, through contact.

Do you show the sites before publishing?

Always. The list goes to you with authority, estimated traffic, topic and rationale. You veto anything that does not fit the brand before any newsroom is contacted.

What makes a backlink high quality?

It comes from a site with its own newsroom, returning readers and verifiable organic traffic, inside a piece about your subject, with natural anchor text and editorial permanence. Domain authority helps filter, but does not decide on its own: plenty of domains carry a high score and no audience.

How many backlinks does my site need?

The math is relative, not absolute. What matters is the gap between your profile and the profile of whoever holds the position you want. That gap is measured in the diagnosis, in referring domains, and becomes the quarterly target.

What if a link goes offline later?

Continuous monitoring detects removals and attribute changes. A link removed by a migration or an editorial decision inside the contracted period is replaced at no additional cost, on an outlet of equivalent tier.

Do backlinks still work in 2026, with AI answering everything?

They work in both places. In Google, links remain the main tiebreaker between similar pages. In AI models the effect is indirect and strong: models pick sources by reputation, and brands cited by credible outlets appear more often in answers. Tracking sits in AI monitoring.

Can I buy backlinks without hiring full SEO?

You can, and it happens often when an in-house team handles the rest. One technical caveat: a link points at a page, and a slow, poorly structured page with no real answer wastes the authority that arrives. When that is the case, we say so in the diagnosis before selling the link.
