Netlinks

Netlinks · Authority by Atômico Press

Digital PR built on angles journalists actually take.

Press is not luck. It is a method. Angles backed by proprietary data, a prepared spokesperson, real newsroom relationships and every placement tracked. The article becomes proof for the reader, and a link and a citation for the index.

We work in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Headquarters in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

01Overview

Digital PR

Digital PR is the work of getting your company into the outlets your customers read, with angles newsrooms want, and turning every placement into a permanent search asset. It is classic press relations plus what the industry calls digital PR: the story has to be good journalism and it has to earn a link, a citation and reputation.

At Netlinks this practice is signed by Atômico Press, the group's digital press office, led by Gabriel Raposo, Chief Authority Officer. The team pitches in English, Portuguese and Spanish, with relationships across regional outlets, trade publications and national news portals.

Running press inside an SEO and GEO agency changes the work in a practical way: the angle is chosen knowing which page on your site needs weight, which term you want to contest and which question your customer asks ChatGPT. That calculation comes from SEO consulting, and press sits in the same plan, inside the authority sector.

02Definition

What digital PR is

Press relations has always been relationships: knowing who writes about your industry, understanding what that person needs to publish, and offering material that solves their problem before it solves yours. That has not changed.

What changed is where the article ends up. The outcome used to be a clipping and an estimated reach figure. Today the same article is still social proof and becomes three more things:

  • A permanent link to your site, inside the text, counted by search engines as a vote of confidence.
  • A source for language models. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Copilot look for who has already been cited by others before deciding whom to cite.
  • A result on the search for your company name. Whoever is deciding between you and a competitor searches the brand, and what appears there carries weight.

Digital PR is the format that chases all four at once. That changes how outlets are chosen, how the piece is written, when it is published and, above all, how it is measured.

It also changes who takes part. A good angle almost always depends on someone inside the company with something to say: the founder, the technical director, whoever watched the market change up close. Part of the work is preparing that person to talk to a journalist without sounding like a brochure.

03Scope

What the service covers

The engagement is built from what your company already has: press history, an available spokesperson, proprietary data and compliance constraints.

Pitch plan

The subjects your company genuinely owns, ranked by likelihood of publication and by search interest, with a quarterly calendar.

Releases and supporting material

Written the way newsrooms use it, with verifiable data, a spokesperson quote, images and a company fact sheet. Without the adjectives editors cut.

Newsroom relationships

Contact with the people covering your industry, pitching at the right moment, and fast responses when a newsroom needs a source for a story in progress.

Media training

Spokesperson preparation: what to answer, what not to answer, how to turn an internal number into a headline and how to handle a live interview.

Digital PR with proprietary data

A survey, study or dataset only your company can produce. It is the format the press accepts most readily and the one that earns the most links.

Reputation and crisis

Mention monitoring, a response protocol and coordination with legal when the subject is sensitive. Defined before it is needed, not during.

04Method

Where a publishable angle comes from

Newsrooms receive hundreds of pitches a week and publish a handful. What separates one from the rest is rarely the quality of the company. It is whether there is a reason for that story to run today.

We work with four sources of angle, in this order of effectiveness. Proprietary data: a number only your operation has, treated with method and presented with context. News hook: a regulatory change, a market decision or an event that needs someone to explain it. Industry calendar: the dates the press will already cover your subject and needs a source. Opinion with skin in the game: a position against the consensus, defended by someone with the track record to defend it.

What almost never runs: a product launch with no real news, an award received, a company anniversary, and a release describing the company in the third person for six paragraphs. We say so in the first meeting so your quarter is not spent on angles that will not land.

  • Proprietary data, with a stated methodology
  • News hooks tracked in real time
  • An industry calendar mapped quarter by quarter
  • A spokesperson with a clear position, trained to defend it

05Cadence

What happens in month 1, month 2 and month 3

Press runs on its own clock. The first month is construction, and it is the month with the most work and the least visible output.

  1. Month 1

    Baseline and arsenal

A review of what has already been written about the brand, spokesperson selection, mapping of outlets and journalists in your industry, and production of the first set of angles. Media training when needed.

  2. Month 2

    First placements

The angles pitched in month one start becoming coverage. Each placement enters the App with outlet, date, link and destination page, alongside estimated reach.

  3. Month 3

    Cadence and recurrence

The relationship matures and newsrooms start approaching your company as a source, which is the real goal. Heavier outlets enter, with longer cycles.

  4. Every month

    Angles and fast response

New angles in the queue plus availability for last-minute requests, which tend to produce the best placements.

  5. Quarterly

    Executive read

What was published, which links came with it, what happened to searches for the brand name, and where the company started being cited by AI models.

  6. Always

    Open channel

Alfred answers on WhatsApp 24 hours a day, with the human team in the same thread, including for angles that surface outside business hours.

06Measurement

Measuring press without an empty clipping book

PR reports are usually a stack of clippings with an estimated reach figure underneath. That is thin evidence for a leadership team that asks about return.

The Atômico Press report inside the Netlinks App shows what actually happened: every placement with URL, outlet and date, the links earned with anchor text and destination page, the trend on branded search, the rankings of the pages that received links, and citations of the company in language models, including the question that triggered each one.

That lets you argue with numbers instead of impressions. When coverage on a heavyweight outlet is followed by movement on a service page's rankings, the relationship is visible on the same screen. The full design is in technology and AI monitoring.

07Comparison

Traditional PR and digital PR

Both do media relations. What changes is what enters the criteria and what leaves in the report.

08Proof

Press inside real projects

Nobre. The company's repositioning as a gift and hamper holding was accompanied by coverage on major portals. Site and press telling the same story at the same time is what makes a market register the change. Organic traffic grew 300%. See Nobre.

BTG Pactual. A technical partnership in digital authority, covering link building and method, cited by the bank's SEO Director. In a financial institution every angle clears layers of approval and the flow has to be designed before the first placement. See BTG Pactual.

Netlinks itself. The company has been covered by Estado de Minas, Terra, Endeavor and Empresas & Negócios, and is backed by Google for Startups. The method we apply for clients is the one we run in-house.

09The deliverable

What you receive

Finished work, approved by you in the App and shipped. Not a report that only describes the problem.

Quarterly pitch plan

Subjects, hooks, spokespeople and dates, ranked by likelihood of publication and by search interest.

Releases and materials

Written in newsroom format, with verifiable data, quotes and images. Approved by you before anything goes out.

Spokesperson media training

Practical interview preparation, with simulation, key messages and what to do when the question turns hostile.

Tracked placements

Every article logged with URL, outlet, date, link and destination page, in the App, on the day it runs.

Crisis protocol

What to do, who speaks, how fast and through which channel. Written before it is needed, reviewed every quarter.

10How it works

From the audit to the page going live

The same path on every project, with an owner and a date on each step.

  1. 01

    Diagnostic call

One meeting to understand the business, the press history, the available spokesperson and any compliance constraints. No commitment.

  2. 02

    Arsenal review

What the company holds in proprietary data, opinion and track record that can become an angle. It is almost always more than leadership assumes.

  3. 03

    Press map

Outlets and journalists covering the category, each one's angle and the right moment to approach.

  4. 04

    Production and approval

Angles, releases and supporting material written and approved by you before anything is sent.

  5. 05

    Relationship and publication

Newsroom contact, angle adjustment, spokesperson interview and publication, logged in the App immediately.

  6. 06

    Measure and adjust

Links earned, branded search, page rankings and AI citations. The next quarter's plan comes out of that.

12Who it is for

Where this work pays off the most

A company with a story and no voice

A relevant operation, interesting data sitting in a spreadsheet and no editorial presence. This is where press pays off fastest.

A brand changing position

A merger, a new unit, a new market or a business model shift. Press is what makes the market register the change alongside the site.

Regulated industries

Banking, healthcare, legal and education, where every sentence clears approval. The flow is designed before the first pitch goes out.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is digital PR?

It is media relations combined with a search read: the angle is chosen knowing which page on your site needs weight and which question your customer asks search engines and AI models. The article remains social proof and also becomes a permanent link and a citable source.

What is the difference between press relations and digital PR?

Digital PR is the name the industry gave to press work designed to earn links and authority alongside reach. In practice it is the same newsroom relationship, with two extra criteria in outlet selection and a different set of numbers in the report.

Do you guarantee placement on a specific outlet?

No, and be wary of anyone who does. Newsrooms have their own calendars and editorial standards. What we guarantee is the work: quality angles, active relationships, fast responses and a target outlet list presented before the first contact.

Do we need a spokesperson?

It helps a great deal and is almost always possible. Journalists need someone to quote, and a faceless company earns fewer stories. If the spokesperson has no press experience, media training happens at the start of the engagement.

How long until the first coverage?

First placements usually run between 30 and 60 days, because angles need reporting and newsrooms run their own calendars. Heavier outlets take longer. The relationship that makes newsrooms approach you unprompted matures from month three.

Does the service include links to my site?

It does, when the outlet allows it, and the destination page is defined in advance with the SEO team. When the strategy calls for higher acquisition volume, the link building agency practice joins the same engagement.

How does this help me appear in ChatGPT and Perplexity?

Models select sources by reputation and cite whoever has already been cited by credible third parties. A brand with consistent press presence joins that shortlist more easily. Citations are tracked in AI monitoring, including the question behind each one.

Do you work in English and Spanish?

We do. Netlinks operates in four countries and pitches in three languages, with native writers and relationships on outlets in the destination market. That is what supports projects like Leo's Marble & Granite, in the United States.
