SEO and GEO consulting · Backed by Google for Startups

SEO consulting that hands you finished work.

A senior consultant runs the audit, sets the plan by business impact and stays with your team through execution. You approve every deliverable in the App and watch the numbers move, without becoming an SEO manager along the way.

We work in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Headquarters in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

01Overview

SEO consulting

SEO consulting is the discipline that decides what to do, in what order and why. It covers the technical audit, the competitive read, keyword mapping by search intent, and the plan that turns all of it into pages, content, links and engineering fixes with a date to go live.

Netlinks runs consulting the way a retained advisory works: a senior consultant sits inside your project, and the full team behind them does the execution. You receive finished work, approve it in the Netlinks App and follow the effect on search results and on AI answers. The shortcuts we apply are the ones we learned running SEO for Méliuz, Globo.com, Rock Content and LWSA, across more than 200 companies since 2017.

If you already have an in-house team, consulting becomes its technical brain: it prioritizes, reviews, unblocks what is stuck in development and measures. If you do not, Netlinks takes the whole operation, from keyword mapping to technical SEO and authority.

02Definition

What SEO consulting actually is

SEO consulting is the service where a senior specialist studies your site, your market and search demand, then returns a work plan ordered by business impact. It does not stop at the diagnosis: it follows execution, reviews what shipped and corrects course every cycle.

In practice, consulting answers four questions most companies cannot answer on their own:

  • Who is searching for what you sell, and in which words. Search is not a list of terms, it is a map of intent: people comparing prices, people comparing vendors, people describing a problem who do not yet know a solution exists.
  • Why Google and the AI models pick your competitor. Authority, content depth, speed, architecture, structured data, track record. Each one weighs differently by industry.
  • What can change now, and what belongs in the product roadmap. Rewriting a title is today. Rebuilding the architecture of a store with 40,000 SKUs is planning.
  • What it is worth. Search volume, estimated click-through by position, average order value and sales cycle. Without that math, SEO turns into a task list nobody owns.

Your Netlinks senior consultant owns those answers from the first day of the contract to the last. The same person presents the diagnosis, defends the priority in the room with your team, and comes back the next month to show what moved.

03Scope

What consulting covers

Every engagement starts the same way and ends differently. The diagnosis follows one protocol for everyone; the plan that comes out of it is built for your market, your site and your sales cycle.

Full technical audit

Crawling, indexing, Core Web Vitals, canonicals, redirects, URL architecture and whatever is stopping Google from reading the whole site. Detailed in SEO audit.

Keyword map by intent

Volume, difficulty, intent and who ranks today. Every term becomes a page with an owner and a date, never a spreadsheet nobody opens.

Real competitive analysis

Who owns the space today, with what content, with what authority, and what it takes for you to enter. Including the competitors that only show up inside AI answers.

Content and page plan

Silo structure, service pages, product pages, guides and what the blog has to support. Delivered with briefs ready for whoever writes.

Authority and digital PR

Your link profile against the market leader, an acquisition target, and a press angle when the sector calls for it. Executed by our authority practice.

Structured data and GEO

Semantic markup across the site and content prepared to be cited by ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Copilot.

04Cadence

How the month runs

Consulting without a cadence becomes a beautiful deck nobody executes. The cycle below repeats every month, with the same consultant and the same team.

  1. Week 1

    Read and prioritize

Review of last month in the App: what rose, what fell, what competitors published. The cycle priority list comes out of it.

  2. Week 2

    Production

Content, new pages, technical fixes and press angles go into production with an owner and a deadline.

  3. Week 3

    Approval and publishing

You approve each deliverable in the App. Anything that depends on your engineering team ships as a written spec, with no back and forth.

  4. Week 4

    Measure and adjust

Rankings, traffic, AI citations, conversions and speed. Whatever did not move the needle leaves next month's plan.

  5. Quarterly

    Executive review

A session with leadership: where we gained ground, where the competitor reacted, and what changes in the next 90 days.

  6. Always on

05Technical edge

Structured data: the work almost nobody ships

Structured data is how you explain to a machine what lives on your page: that this is a product with a price and stock, a service with a coverage area, a company with an address, an article with an author, a question with an answer.

It is the most neglected work in the market and the one that pays best right now, because Google and the language models both use that layer to be sure of what they are saying. A well marked page has a far better chance of becoming a rich result and of being cited as a source inside an AI answer.

Netlinks marks the whole site, validates it in staging, monitors schema breakage whenever the site is updated, and reviews it every cycle. The full practice lives in structured data.

  • Organization, Service, Product, Article, FAQ, Breadcrumb and LocalBusiness markup
  • Validated in staging before it ships, never straight to production
  • An alert when a site update breaks the markup
  • Entity review: how Google understands who your company is

06GEO

Search engines and AI models in one plan

Your buyer is still on Google. They also opened ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot to ask the same thing in different words. When the model answers, it cites sources. Being one of them is the new first position.

GEO is the work of showing up in those answers: content that answers the question directly and quotably, authority that gives the model confidence, structured data that removes ambiguity, and monitoring across dozens of AI models so you know when you started being cited and for which question.

At Netlinks, GEO is not a separate product with a separate contract. It sits in the same consulting engagement, the same plan and the same report. The full practice is in GEO: SEO for AI, and the tracking lives in AI monitoring.

07Comparison

Consulting, agency or in-house team

All three setups work. What changes is who carries execution and how much of your team's week it eats. Worth choosing with the table in front of you.

08Reach

Consulting in English, Portuguese and Spanish

Netlinks is headquartered in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, with structure in London, Santiago and Panama City. Consulting runs in all three languages, with the same method and the same delivery standard.

That matters more than it sounds when you expand: one URL per language, correct hreflang, content written by someone who knows the destination market, and authority built in outlets from that country. Translating a page puts nobody at the top of the United States.

If you are already exporting, or planning to, the full design is in international SEO. Our Leo's Marble & Granite case, in Massachusetts, shows the path in English from zero.

09Measurement

What you track, and when

SEO consulting only holds up with open numbers. Everything Netlinks produces shows up in the Netlinks App in real time, with no waiting for a month-end close:

  • Rankings by keyword, with the change since day one of the contract and the comparison against the competitors set in the diagnosis.
  • Organic traffic and conversions, connected to Search Console and your analytics.
  • AI citations: which models already mention your brand, for which questions, and which competitor sits next to you in the answer.
  • Technical health: PageSpeed, Core Web Vitals, crawl errors, deindexed pages and broken schema.
  • Delivery queue: what is in production, what is waiting for your approval and what already shipped.

The first ranking movement usually shows up between 30 and 60 days on technical fixes and new long-tail pages. Head terms in a competitive market are quarterly work. Consulting says that in the first meeting, with the math on the table, because a badly set expectation is what kills SEO projects in month four.

The stack behind that measurement is described in technology, and the method that organizes all of it in the Response Marketing Method.

10The deliverable

What you receive

Finished work, approved by you in the App and shipped. Not a report that only describes the problem.

Executive diagnosis

A document with the technical and competitive picture of your site, the opportunity estimate per topic and the order of attack. Presented live to your team.

Keyword map

Terms grouped by intent and destination page, with volume, difficulty and who ranks today. It becomes the backlog for the year.

90-day plan

What enters each month, with an owner and a date. Reviewed with leadership every quarter.

Engineering specs

Every request for your development team arrives complete: what changes, where, why and how to test it. No vague recommendations.

Published content and pages

Production followed from brief to live page, reviewed by the consultant before it ships.

Live reporting in the App

Rankings, traffic, AI citations, speed and delivery queue, 24 hours a day, with no month-end wait.

11How it works

From the audit to the page going live

The same path on every project, with an owner and a date on each step.

  1. 01

    Diagnostic conversation

One meeting to understand the business, the sales cycle, margin by product and what has already been tried. No commitment.

  2. 02

    Audit and mapping

Full crawl, competitive read and keyword map by intent. Usually two to three weeks.

  3. 03

    Impact-ranked plan

Every workstream gets an estimated gain and effort. The order comes from that ratio, not from personal taste.

  4. 04

    Execution with oversight

Content, pages, technical fixes, structured data and authority go into production with the consultant reviewing.

  5. 05

    Approval in the App

You approve every deliverable before it goes live, with the full history of what was done.

  6. 06

    Course correction

The plan is adjusted monthly against real data. Every quarter leadership gets the executive read.

12Who leads

Who leads your project

The three of them own the process and manage the team on every account. No senior who shows up at kickoff and disappears: they sign off on the plan, review the work and talk to your team.

13Who it is for

Where this work pays off the most

A company whose site does not sell

You have a site, a product and a media budget, and organic brings nothing. Consulting finds the blocker and returns a plan with dates.

A marketing team with a full queue

The team exists, but SEO is always next quarter. The consultant becomes its technical brain and the Netlinks team takes execution.

A large operation with real risk

E-commerce, publisher or a company with many domains. Every change touches revenue, so the work starts with control and measurement.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between SEO consulting and an SEO agency?

Consulting owns the decision: what to do, in what order, and how to measure it. An agency owns execution at volume. At Netlinks both come together, with a senior consultant leading and the team executing. If you want the full agency model, see SEO agency.

How long until the first results?

Technical fixes and new long-tail pages usually move rankings in 30 to 60 days. Head terms in competitive markets are quarterly work. The estimate comes out of the diagnosis, with volume and difficulty on the table.

Do I need to rebuild my website first?

Almost never. Consulting works on the site you have, whether that is WordPress, Shopify, VTEX, Next.js or something custom. When the site truly is the bottleneck, the diagnosis says so with the number that justifies rebuilding, and our engineering practice takes it.

Does consulting include content production?

It does. The consultant sets the brief, the team produces, the consultant reviews and you approve in the App. If you only want production at scale, see content marketing agency.

Do you work with companies that already have an in-house SEO team?

Yes, and it is one of the most common setups. Consulting prioritizes, reviews, unblocks development and brings what an in-house team rarely has time for: structured data, AI monitoring and authority.

How does approval work?

Everything runs through the Netlinks App. Each piece enters your queue with a deadline, you approve or request a change, and the history stays on record. Nothing goes live without you.

Does consulting cover SEO for AI models?

It does, inside the same contract. Citable content, authority, structured data and citation monitoring across dozens of models sit in the same plan and the same report. See GEO.

How much does SEO consulting cost?

It depends on the size of the site, how competitive the sector is, and how much execution stays with Netlinks. The initial diagnosis carries no commitment, and pricing comes with the plan so you can compare investment against estimated opportunity.
